Our Services

1. DESIGN RECOMMENDATIONS/PRODUCT POSITIONING

Visit the proposed building site, review competing products in the local market and recommend design criteria for new home construction.

Review a builder's current product line and offer suggestions to update and improve existing models with minor changes and/or how to expand the line with new models.

2. SITE EVALUATION AND PRELIMINARY LAND PLANNING

Visit the building site, research development regulations on the property, and based on approved product and density targets, prepare a sketch plan for the layout of streets, lots, open space parking and buildings for maximum market appeal.

Assist builders with community design objectives, including design guidelines for typical lot layouts, setbacks, garage placement and architectural styling. Can include a historical review of vernacular house styles in the region and application of precedent to new house designs.

3. CONCEPT DESIGN

Provide design drawings for new residential products, based on product descriptions and constraints. This typically includes 1/4" scale floor plans and street elevations. This service can include work for a custom home or addition for a builder's client.

4. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

Provide drawings for permits and construction based on approved concept design drawings. These computer generated drawings typically include foundation plans, floor plans, all elevations, typical wall sections and notes, and an electrical wiring schematic. Additional drawings may be added if requested.

5. STOCK PLANS - CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

Provide pre-prepared construction documents for construction. These plans can be purchased either "as-is" or with modifications for market specifics.

6. BROCHURE DRAWINGS

Provide black and white or color brochure drawings of plans and elevations for sales purposes. These are typically computer generated drawings produced on 8-1/2" x 11" paper. Larger graphics can also be provided.

7. CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATIONS AND INSPECTIONS

Visit the site during construction, observe and report on construction procedures relative to construction drawings, code compliance and general construction practices. Suggest remedial actions where appropriate.

8. BUILDING SURVEYS, REPORTS AND EXPERT WITNESS

Visit existing properties and document building conditions relative to local, state or federal code compliance and accepted construction practices. Suggest remedial action where appropriate.
